See the little girl
among the sea of white crosses.
Mummy said they'd come to visit Daddy
but Daddy is nowhere to be seen
just flowers and row upon row
of white crosses,
in all of her diminutive five years,

Daddy made a promise,
he's be home for her birthday;
Today is her birthday,
her fifth birthday
she hides her tears well
among the white crosses...
