Who Am I? Poem by Marrissa Kamckey Harms

Who Am I?

Who am I?
I don't know.
Maybe I'm the sky,
Or something dark and low.

I have a past.
Of course I do!
One that is always lost.
One that reminds you of what you have no clue.

My past is something dark,
My personality is bright.
I am a black lark,
I am a white light.

I am mysterious and lost,
Happy, but yet very sad.
To escape has a high cost,
And it will drive you mad.

But for those who think they know me,
Don't know anything yet.
What I could tell you and make you see,
Would shock you I bet.

My life was painful,
And it still is today.
It was never beautiful,
And there is only one way.

One life.
One path.
One death.
And it's all over.

There is no more of me.
I died long ago.
And now my soul tells me,
As the cold winds blow.

That you need to take strife,
Find help,
SVe my life,
At the sound of my yelp.

Who am I?
I don't know,
But what I do know,
Is that you'll find out soon enough.

You'll find out when I tell you,
Then, I can start off new.

Then I'll find out who I am.
