Who He Wants Me To Be Poem by Sheila Mitchell

Who He Wants Me To Be

Rating: 4.3

Please don't try to change me,
Look inside, please tell me what you see,
I'm a woman that's complicated
Pure in heart, loving and spiritually true,
Eyes so blue, my transparency will hypnotise you

I live in a world of words,
With their own beautiful chords,
Don't bring me down, for what I love,
Writing is what keeps me alive,
Yet, you have a need to demoralize

A soul full of interdimensional dreams,
You don't understand what that means,
Inviting you deep into my space,
Rejecting this exquisite fertilization,
You show your presumptuous affirmation

Wishing me to sign your contract,
Who I am you need to subtract,
To reshape the woman you love,
All you want is to put me on show,
I'm sorry, but I really must say no
