Who is He?

He is one I've known from birth
who thinks he knows my soul's true worth
he bears burdens for me, in part
He is also the one who breaks my heart
I fear him with all of me
of them I long to be free
I wish that he would be out of my life
along with all of the sadness and strife
who is he?
