Who Is Real Moon Poem by Arun Maji

Come to the bank of river,
It would be full moon tonight.
We would sit in the garden there
Side by side,
And watch full moon.

Tonight, I would see
Who is more beautiful?
You? Or moon?
For aeons, poets talk beauty of moon.
But you know
I don't believe them.
I want to prove those prejudiced poets
Earthly moon is more heavenly
Than heavenly moon.

I would see
What makes my heart sing song
Your smiling moonlit face?
Or smile of moon, immersed in your grace?

Maybe I would ask this question to
Iris, hyacinth and snow flake
To know what they say.

Come to the bank of river,
It would be full moon tonight.
And I would see
Who is real moon
You?
Or the moon?
