Who's To Blame? Poem by Joseph Anthony Montefusco

Who's To Blame?

We believe the ruse
So we abuse
The lives we choose
And we stand to accuse

While they're singing the blues
In harmony with their muse
While tapping their shoes

Crying Allah's name in the news
We say they did it on Tues
But the government blew the fuse

While the poor stand in silent mews
High official Anglos and Jews
Ask the question 'Who approves? '

Because they always win and we always lose
Bringing more people to the pews
While priests put their Porsche on cruise

The quiet Christians cry in zoos
With white men high up drinking their booze
But they don't care because they've paid their dues.
