Who Would It Have Been?
He or she existed
Temporarily
In the mother’s womb
Until “Choice”
Sentenced IT to death.
Was IT a mistake?
Was IT the wrong gender?
Was IT coming at a bad time?
Was IT something she never wanted?
Was IT something he never wanted?
No one will ever know
What he or she
Might have been or done
Because IT didn’t fit
Someone’s plans.
