In a translated novel, 'War and Peace',
I saw the name of a novel
followed by the name of its author
appear twice in two pages.
This was surprising.
I thought, 'careless translation
or advertising'.
As that author's name had been mentioned before,
as a byword for heartlessness
and unpleasantness to people,
I thought, 'probably the former'
and, 'perhaps advertising...
perhaps Tolstoy is saying,
'if you think I am heartless and unpleasant,
have a look in Madame de Genlis,
Les Chevaliers du Cigne*, specifically.'

This is a great write! I have heard a great deal about a commercial poetry academy at in Adelaide. Have you taken admission there to fine tune your writing skills?
