I often wonder why you lie
Why you do the things that you do?
Why you just didn’t tell me the truth?
Would have been too hard for you
I would have understood

I don’t expect much
Just that you love me like I love you
I guess it was too much to ask
Too much of a task

I know I’ve made mistakes
Everyone does
Why can’t you forgive me?
Like I forgave you
Why can’t we forget the past?
And move forward
We need to move on
With or without each other

Why can’t we start again?
Why?
