Why Bother? Poem by Jaycee Wilkerson

Why Bother?

A room with no windows
Is a place with no opportunities
This automatically sets you up for blockages
This is becasue you have no creative outlets
Forced to settle and become complacent
At the situation your facing
Your heart begins to start racing
Because your stuck realizing
You may never leave this place
Then you become sad thinking about
All the precious time that was wasted
Wondering about your next move
Which should have been to move
But you were too afriad to lose
This is called comfort level
That caused you to settle
It makes your mental idling engine
Run on mellow
But you were young
And you should have
Pushed the pedal to the metal
This means ambitions on full speed
With your mind driving
Chasing your creativity
On full throttle
Thats my model
Why start if your gonna give up
Why bother?
