Why Can'T I Be Me?
Why do i have to wait
To make do with protocols
Dancing to the beat of an unknown.
Why can't i be me?
Why should i lay low
Bearing the heat
Dieing in silence
When i am the sun and it's due to rise
Why can't i be me?
Why do i have to sit in the crowd
When i've got the world as my stage
Maintaining a quiet spot
when i should be the face for the eyes
Why can't i be me?
Dancing to my own heart race
Saying it like i feel it
No questions No answers
Being me in the splendor of life
Giggling in it's fullness
Why can't i just be me?

dear poetess, the title of the poem caught my sight. i like these journeys towards inner self. it is a nice poem regarding the life-ful emotions. in our lives, on various stages, we are having the same feelings. whether we are able to say or not or rather feel or not. also in its roots, there is oneness or nothing. being gathered or alone. nicely expressed. discussing the same thing almost, 'the truth, if to say', read my poem when you feel easy. adamson.
