Why Come To Me Now Poem by Jeri Martindale

Why Come To Me Now

Why in the world would you come to me now?
Wanting the answers never showing me how.

To answer your question, this I do not know;
My only advice, 'your heart knows where to go.'

Here in the darkness I can not see you.
You stand as ice: what you feel hurts true?

A glimpse of light shattered across your face
Looking as if you have fallen from grace.

Hearing your voice though I dont know how,
The words were spoken but you're not moving your mouth.

The silence you speak must be a gift
Wisphers so softly float from your lips.

Our words are unspoken, but our eyes know all,
Pacing the hallwall,
The answers soon fall.
