Why Did You Have To Go? Poem by Redemption Joy

Why Did You Have To Go?

Surrounded by black, and faces stained with tears,
Hiding my pain because of a fear,
Not once i showed any emotion,
Hated the fact of the big commotion.
You were taken away and i was left behind,
And just one questioned haunted my mind.
I remember you warm and so alive,
big smile, blue eyed.
But seeing you still, in your coffin,
Feeling your presence every so often,
Was a pain far worse than any i felt,
The memories we shared made my heart melt.
And still you will find,
That one question still on my mind.
I was so young, still trying to learn,
the loss of you really did burn.
Only one father you'll ever get,
Mine is gone I'm fulled with regret.
How much i miss you so,
Daddy, why did you have to go?
