Has our connection blossomed on fantasy alone?
Will it shatter when you return home?

Is there a reason why fate tore us apart?
Will this end in my broken heart?

Should I continue on this path we are on
To find out later it turned out all wrong?
Do I risk exposing all
Knowing the more I give the greater the fall?
Sharing my fears and thoughts for all
Answers unknown – letting the chips fall….

Is it only the memory of you I miss
Or is it about tasting your kiss?

Is it in the words you write
Or is it about the way you hold me so tight?

Have I painted our picture of romance
Or will we add colour when finally we dance?

Do I only long for you because you’re away
Or when you are back will I ask you to stay?

Is it the distance that makes this appealing
Or when we meet will we still be so revealing?

Is this magical because we’re apart
Or does it really stem from the heart?

I know I think of you every day
Yet I would regret spending this time any other way
Though I miss you with all my being
The way we are bonding, sharing, feeling
Having this time to share the way we do
It means so much getting to know you

A memory, a fantasy or a dream this may be
But after all our stolen moments I am willing to see

Till then I shall write to pass the time
And await your return to know if you’re mine
