They say you can get what ever you set your mind to
So I set it on you
And hoped you would see it through
But you didn't and I have no where to turn to

Why do we want to love?
If we are taught to stay away from what hurts
Tell me, why do we long to love?
If we are taught to stay away from what hurts

I risked it all for you
I told you everything I knew
And I'd do it all again just to renew
Even after everything you put me through

I swear, this is the hardest
You ripped out my heart from its harness
Now all I can do, is sit in darkness
and pour out the rest like some kind of artist.

Hoping, waiting, that you'll see it though
Just to end up, with no where to turn to
