Why Should I Complain Poem by Francis Duggan

Why Should I Complain

Why should I complain I have had my good years
And for my long lost youth I don't have any tears
In my travels the good and not so good I've met
And life's lost opportunities why now regret
Of our lives we all have our own stories to tell
And many can tell you of their Earthly Hell
So many live their lives in the hardest way
We all can't be winners as some are known to say
Regrets it does seem are wasted on the past
And on looking back the Seasons time does tick on fast
Human immortality is based on a lie
For like every life form we are born to die
And why have regrets since the past it has gone
And we live in the now and life does go on.
