Why There Are No Flies On Janice A. Windle(For Janice) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Why There Are No Flies On Janice A. Windle(For Janice)

Rating: 5.0

“Flee! ” said the fly
to its fellow fly

as they flew
into view

of
Janice A. Windle

approaching them

with a rolled up
newspaper.

“I thought you said she wouldn’t
hurt a fly? ”

one fly hollers in horror
to the other.

“Maybe she lied? ”
says the other fly to the other fly.

“Oh Holy Sh…splat! ”
(That’s that) .

Newspaper headlines
scream

“They’re dying like flies! ”

Janice A. Windle
