Will I Rattle? Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Will I Rattle?

My Body begins to rattle
As more drugs into me I pour,
My Medications cause side effects,
How much more must I endure?

I have Myasthenia Gravis,
For six years I’ve had it now,
Is there a Cure on the horizon?
How did I get it? ~ Can you tell me how?

My Medical Drug cocktail,
Has kept me stable and complete,
Except for Varicose Ulcers,
And badly swollen feet.

The Doctor has given me a Diuretic,
And Potassium Pills as an encore,
With all these tablets in me,
I’ll rattle as I move ~ I am sure.

Will these medicines work for me?
Will more side effects I get?
What will happen to my metabolism
Is anyone’s guess?
