Will You Be My Hero? Poem by Amanda May Moore

I ask for a hero, yet what is a hero?
I need someone that will catch me
When I am in need of love.
Someone that will listen, someone that
Would like to share their life w/ me
Grow old, and love being old.
A hero is the one that lends me a hand
Shares their shoulder
I have friends, family, and amazing ppl.
But then what is it that I am looking for?
I know that I haven’t gotten that far down
The road, the lights don’t stretch too far.
I am working my way down this road,
Trying to find you at the end, so when I get
There will You answer my prayers Lord?
I am in need of a hero, I don’t mind however
Long it takes. I am patient, I know that for certain.
I am willing to be on the road for the long haul.
I promise b/c this will be an amazing ride,
With many things to be learned.
So I will sit back and let it roll. I need not know
