Wilow's Song Poem by Edward Hester

Wilow's Song

Rating: 5.0

Midnight on the Land
Where the ancestors gather
I wait.

Music in the Night
Where the fireflies dance
I listen.

Fragrance in the Air
Sweet scent of angel hair
I dream.

Sound of her sigh
Breath moves against my cheek
I burn.

Heart beats against my heart
My heart beats with hers
I need.

Her heart sings the verse
My heart sings the refrain.
Our song.

Sadness overcomes me
We loved and lost.
But loved well.

Even after all these years,
She remembers me and I
Remember her.

Now She dances in the Night
With fireflies and fairies
She dances.

Now she comes to me
When the Moon is high
She calls.

I meet her in the darkness
Our hearts again One
I answer.
