Wind Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Wind

Rating: 5.0

The wind carries me through the bright astral blue skies,
Green hills and mountains I look down below,
I see all the valleys the flowers and creatures,
Bathing in sunshine the river does flow.
Its winding meanders through
The heart of the country,
It seems to me it follows dreams wherever it does go.

The wind carries me through the clouds and the rainbows,
Colours yield treasure where their ends do lie,
I fly with the songbirds we are one together,
I glide over treetops I watch as they fly.
Towards the sun that sets
Upon horizons far,
The glowing embers shining bright like fire in the sky.

The wind carries me through the cold starlit night time,
I feel I'm alone in this vast galaxy,
I speed like a comet past towns and the cities,
I gaze at the street lights that are guiding me.
My spirit's ascending through
Space and dimensions,
Towards the place of happiness where I so long to be.

So much imagination. Vivid, beautiful pictures and moments. Story like. Lasting and effective. See? This, this is what I'm trying to tell you. You can write! :) DC
