Windows And Whispers Poem by Rajiv Pande

Windows And Whispers

Lost in the streets, a stranger in Town
Windows and Whispers going round and round
Words in the trash-pile, Words on the ground
Words in my fingers, words in my frown

A red horizon, the wounds of a day
Shadows calling the evening away
A pregnant silence, but never a sound
Windows and Whispers, keep spinning around

Moonlight and Laughter, as I long to be found
Windows and Whispers, I am looking around
Corners and Angles, Sarees and Bangles
Locks of her hair in tiny tangles

A sudden smile, a break in the still
But never enough to keep turning the wheel
Never enough, how long has it been
Windows and Whispers, now under my skin

Windows and Whispers, there's no-one at home
Windows and Whispers, we're starting to roam
Windows and Whispers don't leave me alone
Windows and Whispers, you're all that I own
