Winter Poem by Christian Drain

Winter

As the sun rises on a cold winters day,
A young man looked out at the frozen bay.
Songbirds started singing,
That young men then wondered what the weather was going to bring.
As he walked across the frozen ground,
He gasped at what he had found,
Heart shaped ice lying on the ground, shimmering in light,
He smiled with great delight.
Morning came and went so fast,
Letting night fall at last,
That young man was never seen again,
But winter always goes and then again.

I wrote this poem when I was in the fourth grade. It was for a class project. My teacher loved it, she said it was wonderful. I have never really shared it with anyone. I would love for people to see it.
