Winter And The End Of The Dream Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

Winter And The End Of The Dream

Rating: 5.0

A crouching sleep in cold under a blanket
Shortens the night in an unseen dream
A longing hope in solitary fight
Suffers from that never come to calm

Snowing hills throughout the time
Erase the beauty of cheated life
Whitely sights of covered up shine
Clean the mind without a frame

In the laziness on the bed of wake
See the clock that same way counts
In the loss of the hope by the love
Lumpish soul a new hope seeks

In a dream that never could at least achieve
A winter morning gives an uncertain birth
Blank mind opens and unclear words escape
It Slightly in and lives on the snow of thought

Beautiful winter dream that provides own space, though in illusion, to the dreamer which he can not secure due to push and pulls of life in reality. Dream acts like an elixir and give renewed vitality to a soul worn out by struggle for existence. Nice theme. Enjoyed the poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
