Winter Came Too Early Poem by Walter Dapliyan

Winter Came Too Early

Rating: 5.0

Winter came too early
Deep in my heart today.
The autumn's chill gave way
To frost in just a day.
It numbed the mind to think
How joy went away in a blink.
And the promise of rebirth
Got smashed by its own dearth.
Alone I came, alone I went
Along the way until it bent.
No more pausing and looking back,
I must trudge on this surly track.
Winter came much too early
Deep down in my heart today.
