Winter’s Icy Path Poem by Marilyn Lott

Winter’s Icy Path

Rating: 3.0

It’s a world absorbed in an icy path
Everywhere that I go
The chill takes hold of everything
Laced softly with sparkling snow

It looks so delicate to me
The ice upon the pond
Beauty stark and softly layered
The road, the lake and beyond

I pull my coat around my face
As I view this joyous sight
Shadows are slowly fading
Colder now into the night

I wouldn’t trade a thing though
Nature often knows what’s best
As it changes from fall to winter
In this life I feel so blessed!
