Wisdom From Bygone Days Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Wisdom From Bygone Days

In midst of the present recessional times
maybe Shakespeare's famous lines
'neither a borrower or a lender be'
could have saved the world much misery!
But without those overdrafts and loans
for motorcars and top-grade homes...
and spending our money to extreme,
there would be no midsummer dream.
Shakespeare meant no ill
for he is our treasure still.
