Wintertime Is Ringing The Bell Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Wintertime Is Ringing The Bell

October rain has done its best
to brighten our countryside
and historic buildings gleam again...
we watch with humble pride.

Today the sun is low in the sky
autumnal leaves have gone,
now we see the clear green fields
and the shoreline far beyond.

Magical moments we'll treasure
on days so fresh and bright.
doom and gloom will disappear
as nature retains her light.

Wintertime ~ a Holy time
when greetings float on the air,
and Christmas Day forever true
brings yuletide gifts to share.
