Wise Parents People Teach Lessons Of Love Poem by Terence George Craddock

we should teach our children
a philosophy of life insights,
survival skills perceiving depths
dysfunctional in lost not loved others,
such youthful skill insight complexity
in understanding is not necessary,
simple insight wisdom will do;
listen children listen carefully,

the bully in the schoolyard
often grows into an adult
enjoying inflicting pain;
the child bully the adult
power freak who enjoys
inflicting pain suffering;

upon others suffers deeply
within personal void pain
taught broken low esteem self;
pain violence cruelty inflicted
upon the bully fills glass soul
to overflowing, cruelty is
overflowing from weeping
torn oppressed violated soul;

simply put pain inflected absorbed
is echo lessons expelled in acts
of rage rebellion anger exploding
into a bully's only plea bargain
venting expression horrible,
does the sick body need;

care medicine healing or punishment,
the same can be said and is equally
true of a bully spilling over sick soul,
in need of understanding
healing love compassion,
healing will not occur in yet
more punishment inflicted
upon a victim, crushed in pain

punishment overflowing,
healing can only blossom
in the light of a love gifted
sea of human compassion,
regenerating a soul pleading
for love in a dark black hole;

lost in oppression despair
fallen into tomb complete
loss of faith hope redemption;

we should teach both cause
and remedy in bully cycles
to our children as they merge

into playground teenage adult life
years needing insights into complexity
life so children sow regenerating love;
