Wisen Poem by Daniel Bowyer

Wisen

Pain of realising
You do not know me at all
As I thought you understood

Asked 'do I not have your heart? '
Not at all, not in this life
It belongs to these feelings that belong
And you will always have to reside besides them

Your visions of splendor
That I was a poet and you a princess
Are realised finally, I am a manic and you are failing
So if you do not approve of my frightful love,
then please do not approach it in the manner you do

My mutated emotion gave me this gift of insight
That I might create beauty from such a withered place
And fate sent me your beauty, but your beauty is not permanent
It is a temporate as your moods, and will depart long before my eternal

So I do love you, but you can only love me as I am
No smoke screen passions only the joyless truths
So I am satisfied to accept my nemisis, but lover, are you?
Don't take away my gift, and do not take away yours
But should your heart wonder, then wonder into the yonder it must
