Wish Poem by Emily Velasco

wish i am the one who warms your chilly night
wish i am the one you see in your morning light
wish i am the moon who shares your lonely night
wish i am the grass you set foot onyour rainy plight

wish you knew the longing i feel
for every passing day
wish you knew how crazy i may be
for the words i fail to say

the days are getting colder
the nights even more
i see you every moment
in my thoughts so far away

countless times i tried
to erase you in my mind
i always looked the other way
so i can't see familiar sights

i would turn off the radio
so i can't hear the songs you sing
but i guess they're too many
not hear a single theme

this is saying goodbye
this is "goodluck and hope you're fine"
this is my final note
saying "I Am Done"
