Wish On The Purest Kiss Poem by Moonlight Shadows

Wish On The Purest Kiss

What odds are there
That you or me should be

At one place
One time
And we both see
What is not there

But is there to be.

A kiss so pure
If you were free
A touch so kind
Were I for thee.

But neither I nor you
Nor powers that be
Can change what luck
Or not there is
For you and me.

May I just wish
If I may wish
One kind wish
For you and me,

If such truths
As God above
Who gives and loves
Be so kind to me

May it be so
Without any scratch
Nor dent nor spat
On the heart of she

She who keeps
Thine heart and mind
Thine spirit kind
Share life to me

Beneath western skies
Pure and blue
Where heart once died
Now tis renewed

Through but one look
A glance, a chance
One day be
Tis me and you.
