Wisp Of Nothing Poem by Dr Avinash Dal

Wisp Of Nothing

A sunny window, a table lonely
Sitting and sipping only
A tall glass of iced tea
The blue never ending sea
Sound of waves washing
Sands that are ever flowing
Time too waits here still
To let my mind fill.
Yet in a subconscious corner
Under the waves there’s a murmur
A restlessness that I cannot define
Grasp or hold, it’s so fine
What is there that’s lingering
Under the ash still smouldering
Is it life’s some episode sad
Or an incomplete work instead
I cannot grope further or sweep
Minds labyrinths dark and deep
A sense of incompleteness pervades
As this wisp of mind evades
Oh! Let it take time to surface
Till it comes, to openly face
A tall glass of iced tea
The blue never ending sea
