Within My Power Poem by Audrey Heller

If I had it withing my power, I'd
make time disappear, right now.
For so much has been taken from
me and I'll never get it back, anyhow.
You, can never make up, for time
lost, as once it's gone, it's gone.
The only thing you can be sure
about, is you have no choice, but
to carry on. Wallowing in self pity, is
not the way to go and will get you
nowhere. You have to get back to
the here and now, if you want to
fare. No one said, life is what you'd
like it to be. But you have to fight for
what you want, never give up and
the rest, will be history!
