Untended

Were about to come
The rains came
When they were
About to sleep,
Sleep
They couldn’t sleep
Anymore
The littered drains
Overflowed
Flooding their homes
Making both the Shylock landlord
and the tenant
Helpless
Homeless
hopeless...
