Woke With Diamonds Poem by Terence George Craddock

Woke With Diamonds

woke with diamonds
this distilled morning
unique sparkle perspectives
precise gem cut diamonds
exquisite in exhibit cuts
remnant rough diamonds
left remain like pebbles
scattered on dust ground

pebbles stones among stones
to untrained eye ignorant
scattered unpolished stones
are unwanted only stones
common child toy stones
never skill craft cut polished set

with design enhancing precious metal
to socialize dance glitter in party light
around wealth adored display flesh
select poem gemstones never written
yes the scribe is only dream writing
fantasy flights entertain in poetic mind
