Wondrous Poem by Obinna Kenechukwu Eruchie

Wondrous

Rating: 5.0

Heartened went the air across the glade.
The night cool, you whose loveliness made
To reveal heaven's harmony played
Bright as dawn where joy's rays does not fade.
Fairness ever glowing from you said
To my essence 'be winged as arrayed
Along the row of stars to have sprayed
Upon your warmth of light not decayed,
And the bliss drunken with ease is laid
Within, the rainbow colours will raid'.

Charmed is my soul like stork, who does wade
In water to perceive from bed, staid
Warmth of good required, such I did grade
Of your light that past through my soul's shade,
To roll around it as light to braid
My core sate with life, I will not trade.
If buried be light, out it shall love spade.
For around with you, whose kind gives aid
To my heart in a condition paid
To have it not from light to dark strayed.
