Wondrous Joy

What wondrous joy, my heart now sings
What peace through Christ divine
Laughing at storms on eagle wings
Since true salvation’s mine

God saw my pain He saw my plight
He saw the truth within
He saw I needed guiding Light
To flee from wayward sin

Christ gave to me His Holy Ghost
His Fire to dwell inside
By grace alone lest I may boast
Lest I may walk full pride

I bless the day when Jesus came
When love walked in my door
Exchanging robes for rags of shame
And life forever more

What can I do what can I say?
Eternal life for free!
The blessings felt that special day
God’s glory came to me

My past’s forgiven, I have God’s love
I’m free of Satan’s jail
My hope is built on Christ above
And Jesus cannot fail

With wondrous joy I sing God’s praise
And that of Christ His Son
In faith I’ll serve Him all my days
Till victory’s truly won

I have no doubt that day will dawn
Quite safe in Jesus hand
When Heaven blows the final horn
I’ll live as always planned
