Wordless... Poem by Oleh Wolansky

Wordless...

Wordless, forced through clenched teeth,
Affected emotionless untrue to calculations,
These words are false and inhibited.
I have left the realm of reason for pure abject passion;
The cruelest double-edged sword.
Though the heights may taunt;
I prefer the breeze of earth when
Theses filthy, foolish, false, fears inscribe
Their notes on deaf paper.

Deaf as the middle of the night’s screams in inextricable dimensions
Flowing through and beyond you; the coursing flesh that no longer
Clings to bones that feels eyes of nerves hanging like silk
From inverted space into the mind of… a voice
Wandering apart from the wind, trapped by the receding rains,
Almost a hungry spirit: an earthen; yet ethereal glow, pronounced
In the shade of ancient pillars of silent prayer, oh masters from there.
