The day was going terribly wrong for me
I was angry towards everyone around
Then I saw a beautiful angel
Sitting on the table texting away
She stood up and gave me a hug
As soon as we were alone, she kissed me
I kiss her back and took a moment to stare
Stare into her beautiful sparkling brown eyes
I have never been that attentive
I have never fixated on details
Then I realised that all this time I have known
I have known that I love her more than life itself
I just never knew to what extent
Inside I'm in tears, I have never been blessed
I was always the odd man out
I was always the outsider
The person who was always left out
But right here is the person who pays attention
To everything I say or do
I'm blessed I'm lucky
