((Working On It)) Poem by Sailing to windward

((Working On It))



He tried his hand at wizardry,
for a spell.
(And did quite well)
showing us signs;
Curing the blind,
healing cripples,
and calming stormy water
to gentle ripples -

And walking on it.

Then he conjured his greatest trick,
leaving the sick,
(That's me and you)
he disappeared from view.
So far, he hasn't undone
that particular one,
but perhaps -
he's working on it
