Worthless Idols Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Worthless Idols

'Worthless idols' Jonah said,
Forfeit the grace that could be theirs,
And never in their lofty stead
Could idols save their own affairs.

So shaken, broken, and sadly crushed
These stones and images they fell,
As tremors shook the ground to dust
These are not gods, we all can tell.

For God will shame those images
And all who worship, to these bow,
When in His wrath His anger rages
At the Deception these priests allow.

Know His Word said God is Spirit
He never would dwell in a stone!
Yet man was deceived, His grace did forfeit
And His Truth they have never ever known.

'Those who cling to worthless idols
forfeit the grace that could be theirs.'
Jonah 2: 8

God of all things that we believe He doth exists in the hearts of men He dwells to the believer in stones too And their salvation will also happen if He be true As the creator (if He or She be) will distribute grace Irrespective of the books you read or worship place All He/She expects is your sinless life on this planet face..... Good poem even though I don't agree to the exclusive concept of God being a dispenser of grace to a select few who follow a particular system. God is infinite (if He or She be) and the love and grace that can come from such divinity can never be selective. Welcome to my page
