Xara Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Xara

Yahweh Has seen my afflictions And,
The labour of my hands;

You appear very beautiful outwardly to me,
But you are like a dead man's bone inside! !

My love to you is as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings!
Wings of peace and love;
At the Sea of Tiberias! !
Only with heavy burdens along the line,
Facing the odds of life.

Sweet net of love!
The multitude of the fish;
My name is Xara at the coast,
To initiate my works to reach out to the world.
