Yellow Crane Tower Poem by Luo Zhihai

Yellow Crane Tower

★ Yellow Crane Tower

☆ Poetry by Cui Hao (704?—754, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Immortal had sitten on the back of a yellow crane
Here Yellow Crane Tower remained
Gone for ever the yellow crane
Thousand years of clouds have been leisurely always
Clear rivers and Hanyang trees too beautiful to be absorbed all at once
Fragrant grass of Parrot Island is dense
Where is my hometown in dusk?
Among the smoke and waves of the river I am in sad sense
