Yes, It Hurts Poem by Brittany Sczech

Yes, It Hurts

There's no way to tell
right from the start

whether things will work out
or all fall apart

you thought I was the one
and I didn't feel the same

I'm so very sorry
for hurting you this way

I must admit
I loved you a lot

You were my first love
but I didn't like the way we fought

Don't try to win me back
You'll only hurt yourself more

the fact that I don't love you (at least in that way)
is a feeling I can't ignore

To you, nothing so far
in my life can compare

Us breaking up...
just isn't fair (to you)

And Yes, it hurts
but I can't complain

After all...
I caused this pain...

All the memories we made
I'll definitely miss

But now I feel like I'm ready
I'm ready for the world... I'm ready for this
