Yesterday's Stories Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Yesterday's Stories

The muse of life!
Samuel's expected child died;
The muse of life!
Eunice's married husband died;
The muse of life!
What Comes next to this family?
Tell me if you know.

The difficulties of life!
With yesterday's stories;
But today, rich and famous in the land of peace.
Life!
Like a lizard walking on the surface of water;
Muse!
From boyhood to manhood;
Marginal,
Original,
Regional.

Man, managed!
With yesterday's stories;
And like a snake dancing at the market place.
Muse!
I love my Fridays;
A day of rest to respect my mind.

Muse!
From girlhood to womanhood;
And, to give more to the poor tomorrow.
The lovely fruits of life,
Leap for joy! !
And let your works be seen by others;
In a positive way.
