The earth was furious with the burning
sunshine
He looked at the sky in pain with hope
The sky wept in the anguish of her love
The earth got relieved yet unaware
That those drops of relief were tears,
not water
Long travelled the stranger in the
midst of the desert
Robbed him the locals and left him
wounded
For the ring he wore in his middle
finger
Later they mocked for the ring was
no gold
They thought they left him unharmed
Unaware that they had snatched the
most priceless thing he ever had
His dead daughter's last mark
It was a huge feast they celebrated
The marriage of the only princess
they had
She was adorned with roses and
silver
Beautiful like a fairy she looked
The people chattered there was no
sign of gold
Unaware that her parents' gave away
all they had
The sea was silent in the dark night
Scary and cold the sands whispered
The moon came up and drew a silvery
line
Breaking the silence of the sea
It smiled at the moon with a teasingly
look
Unaware that it was a sweet gesture of
care, not flattery
The race began and they all set fast
With light like speed they ran across
It was an inch of difference when
the unimagined turn happened
The winner rejoiced with that terrific trophy he got
Unaware of the sacrifice the runner up
made
For him the happiness of his best friend
was real victory...
