You Poem by Luke Arthur

You

I sank to dredge my deepest thought
Of death, the lesson never taught
I know death, I’ve seen it; life can’t be bought

Tear the tongue from my mouth and sever my ear
Pluck out my eye and reveal me too its inhumane sneer
Mind continue to torment me, with my darkest fear

Desensitize me not; for reality I got
Truth is I’m dying, there is no defying
What God says is lying and tis pointless crying,

Wake up from the gloom of your own self doom
Sweep away with life’s broom whatever may loom
An unfathomable conundrum one shouldn’t pursue
For when all’s said and done, the only one hurting is YOU!
