You Poem by Hana Banpaia

You

It’s something you have to give to receive
Love
Love is moving
Always changing
But not the love I feel toward you
Right now, I can’t think of anything I wouldn’t give to see you
To touch you
To hold you
To kiss you
Not much would mean more than to feel your warm body
Pressed against mine
You’re gone and I’ve fought as hard as I can
Begging my memories
My heart
My mind
Please...!
Forget
Nearly three years have passed
And yet…
I still feel you
You are still there
But as the void in my heart
In my soul
You don’t know it but…
My heart still aches for you
Please!
My heart cries
Please!
Don’t leave me…
I wasn’t sure why I didn’t skip school that year
Why I didn’t run away
Didn’t hide
Now I realize
It was because of you
