You And I Poem by Shakuntala Sharma

You And I

Rating: 5.0

Two never-ending parallel lines
You and I are.
They never meet, never separate either.

Two lines ought to lie in the same plane
Especially when they are parallel.
But we don't.

Your plane and my plane belong
To different solar systems.

Your world is real, concrete, tangible.
Mine is amorphous, intangible, irreprehensible.

And yet, we can sight each other instantly
Despite the distance of Light years
Defying the laws of Physics.

A brilliant way of saying it. It's all a mystery anyway but your poem poses some good questions about the alignment of our paths in the business of compatibility and daily living.Maybe love is the element we will never fully appreciate. It's like health. When we have it we are not fully aware of it.10.

you have an element of divinity, a cosmic ray of the sorts in this poem...very sweet and simply written but the depth of the meaning is heartwarming...please read my poem called MAGNETS....which has a similar end (almost) , also read and rate LET HER NOT SACRIFICE ANYMORE...in my poems

You move on a high poetic plane. Beautiful poetry, profound thought. CP
